"Why Storytelling Will Be the Biggest Business Skill of the Next 5 Years." A friend forwarded me an email the other day with that headline.  I devoured the blog word-by-word, pausing every so often to digest the gravity of what I knew to be true given my 25-year career in journalism.

The last time you saw a set of beautiful teeth in an implant dentistry commercial on TV or online, there is a decent chance that our team collaborated on that production. As the son of an oral surgeon and a dental hygienist, Jeff married his passion for video story telling with his knowledge of dental marketing to provide marketing support to dental practices nationwide. One of the biggest headaches for a patient when navigating the healthcare system is booking an appointment with a medical provider. Intelibly strives to provide a solution for that morass with an online platform that streamlines the scheduling process.


SIMS METAL MANAGEMENT

Ever wonder what happens to your old refrigerator or your junked car? We were hired to highlight the critical role of recycling in preserving our future. Sims is the leading metals and electronics recycler in the world with a global presence in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australasia. The company takes great pride in being a sustainable recycler worldwide and a good steward of our natural resources. Its purpose is to create a world without waste in order to preserve the planet. This story showcases the work of Sims Metal in the Pilsen Neighborhood in Chicago.


MAMMOTH ROOFS

In the uber-competitive world of roofing sales, San Antonio-based Mammoth Roofing came to us as an upstart in 2019 with aspirations as big as its name. As the company’s marketing and communication consultant, we created and delivered digital content for Mammoth for three years, which helped Mammoth expand to Austin and Killeen. The company is now one of the largest contractors for insurance hail roof restoration in Texas. This is a dynamic and multi-tiered collaboration with our Agency managing the Mammoth social media portfolio, collaborating on the company’s digital marketing strategy, and synergizing with the Mammoth executive team on public-facing communication strategies. There has been a robust deployment of video marketing for Mammoth. MR. Plumber

The team at Mr. Plumber wanted a disruptive, transformational message as its first foray into the San Antonio broadcast world. We helped to craft a creative and memorable two-spot series for Mr. Plumber. Our team produced, directed, and edited these commercials. Jeff also got into the audio booth to narrate these spots. A word of warning as you watch this commercial: Watch Out For The Bean And Cheese :)


NIRENBERG MAYORAL CAMPAIGn, SAN ANTONIO - 2017 & 2019

It had been 20 years since a San Antonio Mayor seeking re-election had lost to a challenger. Ron Nirenberg defied long odds with a historic win in the 2017 Mayoral Race in San Antonio. Ron toppled a better-funded incumbent with stronger name recognition riding the wave of a high-power, emotionally compelling storytelling and social media campaign launched by Jeff's Journeys.

Jeff's Journeys helped Ron leverage strategically-positioned social media conversation into conversion at the ballot box. We provided a conceptual framework, with reinforced content, which gave the Campaign of Ron Nirenberg a decisive signature. The analytics, which are available by request, underscore how we gave Ron the Campaign sharp, if not transformational momentum. 

The slate of deliverables included a #MeetYourNeighbor video initiative which gave targeted focus to Ron's foundational principles on crime, traffic, and job growth. We also created #AskRon, a weekly live social media initiative, which helped Ron spread his message to a wide-ranging audience, many of whom according to early polling, did not have great familiarity with the candidate or his positions. The Mayor decided to carry of the success of #AskRon with him to City Hall and still uses the platform every week as a means to communicate with San Antonians.

The Nirenberg Campaign hired Jeff’s Journeys to design and develop its website for the Mayor’s re-election campaign in 2019, VoteRon.com and to play a leading role for the Campaign’s communications, media, and social media outreach.


CONNECT SA

Traffic driving you bonkers San Antonio? It sure is getting worse by the day. And so, it felt extra special to be asked to put together this video to tell San Antonio about Connect SA. You can help pull South Texas out of gridlock & support this initiative when it gets on the ballot in 2020. This is a critical project for the future of San Antonio. #ConnectSA

El centro sí

The struggles of downtown Laredo have crushed the economy of this once, vibrant Texas border community. Downtown business interests spearheaded a ballot referendum in 2018 to bring a new conference center to downtown Laredo. We were hired to travel to Laredo to put together this video for this critical ballot initiative.


Advanced Smile Care, San Antonio

One of San Antonio's leading dental practices wanted a fresh, dynamic interpretation of its brand in order to present a stronger digital marketing statement.  The campaign started with a robust launch of video testimonials, social media posts and original blog content.  We collaborated with Herospace Digital to develop and roll out new branding for the practice wrapped around a market-researched tagline, "It Shouldn't Hurt to Smile" and then collectively created a customized, compelling website for Advanced Smile Care. The campaign also included the development of muti-layered digital marketing strategy with audience-targeted landing pages, Facebook ads, Google AdWords and call tracking.  Two months after launching their digital strategy, marketing phone calls to the practice increased by 93%. Year-to-year, website users increased 72% and media coverage of practice accomplishments increased tenfold.

Telling stories takes on extraordinary meaning when you are entrusted to help worthwhile causes. Thank you Guardian House and Sharkmatic for a collaboration that tugged at our hearts.


Tank In A Box, Chicago

Tank In A Box hired our team to travel to California to tell a story about its patented, new product which they predict will transform the paradigm of liquid bulk shipping. Tank In A Box reports a significant increase in sales of this product after it started to distribute this video as part of its sales presentation. Check out the Road Warrior.

Adapt A Vet, San Antonio

Adapt A Vet launched in July of 2015 with a noble mission...to provide free home adaptations to veterans, many of them injured in combat. Without the adaptations, the veterans have trouble living in their homes without struggling. The non-profit reports an uptick in inquiries into their mission since the creation of this video.


Rebecca’s wish

Rebecca’s Wish is an unparalleled founded by a San Antonio teenager, stricken by an autoimmune disease which ravaged her body. Rebecca Taylor is now one of the few children in the world living without a pancreas. She started this non-profit to provide hope and healing for children like her. The non-profit hired Jeff's Journeys to develop and design its website, RebeccasWish.org. We also produced their signature video, create regular content for their social media channels, and produced communication materials used by Rebecca’s Wish as its annual fundraisers. In its first year of operation, Rebecca’s Wish raised nearly one million dollars.

And we make people care, led by Managing Member, Jeff Goldblatt.  As a former TV news journalist of 25 years, with 9 of those years spent in the field as a network news correspondent, Jeff learned how to take stories and use them to build trust, deepen understanding & nurture relationships. We now use this same model of story telling as a content marketing differentiator to help our clients drive sales, grow leads and protect their reputations.

Jeff's favorite stories often came from his willingness to fly right into the path of danger just when everyone else was leaving. Jeff has learned if you don't take risks, you miss out on the stories that matter most—like New Orleans struggled to clean up after Hurricane Katrina, or how violence rocked the Middle East as missiles screamed overhead in Israel, both of which he saw and reported first hand.

There are two things Jeff absolutely loves about the stories he has told over the years: first, they often give a voice to the voiceless. And second, every once in awhile, one of these stories makes a real difference.
